The Wobbly Windows plugin provides what is probably the most notorious effect Compiz was initially known for: windows that move like gelatin, with a spring-and-friction model.
Wobbly windows effect was available in a certain Ubuntu release years ago. Now you can enable this feature via a Gnome Shell Extension.
To install Wobbly window effect:
Simply go to the extension web page in your web browser and turn on the toggle icon:
Don’t see the toggle icon?
If you’re first time to install a Gnome extension, you need first to install the web browser extension. In the previous button link page, click the link to install browser extension.
For Ubuntu, also open terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T) and run command:
sudo apt install chrome-gnome-shell
Finally refresh the extension web page, click install it, and enjoy!
To manage the gnome shell extension, either use Gnome Tweaks or Extensions (install the gnome-shell-extension-prefs package to get it).
