Zorin OS 16.3 Released with ‘OS Upgrader’, Updated Kernel & Apps

Zorin OS announced new 16.3 release few days ago! See what’s new in this beginner friendly Linux distribution.

Zorin OS 16 is a Linux Distro based on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS with support until April 2025. It features a beautiful Windows-like graphical interface based on GNOME 3.38. And, it’s designed to be one of good choices for those new to Linux.

The new 16.3 was released few days ago as the latest version. It comes with a new ‘OS Upgrader‘ application can be launched from start menu. With it, user can upgrade either from Core to Pro edition, and/or old to new major release (such as upgrade from 15 to 16).

The release also updates its Linux Kernel to v5.15, brings new hardware support including NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070, 4060 Ti, and 4060 etc.

Other features in Zorin OS 16.3 include:

    • Improve Zorin Connect with more controls for Android devices.
    • App updates, such as LibreOffice 7.5, Firefox 115.
    • Out-of-the-box support for Flatpak, AppImage, and Snap.
