Sweet Home 3D 7.0 Adds Yafaray Rendering Engine, Light Source in Any Shape

Draw in 2D, view your home in 3D. The free interior design application Sweet Home 3D now is at version 7.0.

The new release of this Java application features Yafaray rendering engine, which was introduced as a plugin 2 years and a half ago. Yafaray runs 2 to 3 times faster than the SunFlow renderer while giving very similar results.

User may select the new rendering engine, in ‘create photo’ and ‘create video’ dialog, while using the best quality.

Light sources in a rendered scene were always a sphere. Now, a light source can have any shape thanks to a new parameter which can be added in the PluginFurnitureCatalog.properties description file of SH3F furniture libraries.

Sweet Home 3D 7.0 also introduced a new magnet button in the tool bar, with ability to activate and deactivate magnetism.
